Sue Spector, 77, was recently attacked by a possibly rabid otter while kayaking on the Braden River. The otter climbed aboard Spector's kayak and began clawing at her face. The otter did serious damage to Spector's nose and bit off a part of her ear. The incident was reported to Florida Fish and Wildlife officers, who were already on scene investigating a report of an aggressive otter who tried to attack someone the day prior. Spector and company were unaware of the prior day's attack when they entered the water. Spector was treated at a nearby hospital.
