Who Rescued Whom? — Therapy Dog and Owner Overcome with Mutual Support
June 24, 2016
Bryan Wimberly is a 20-year Navy veteran who struggled with PTSD. That is, until Wimberly met Bella, a golden retriever. “Bella pulled me from the darkest, darkest corners of PTSD,” said Wimberly. Bella is not only a service dog to Wimberly, but Bella also works alongside Wimberly helping others. In 2014, Wimberly and friends held a fundraiser to perform a much-needed surgery repairing torn ligaments in Bella's rear legs. Bella has fully recovered and is back at work helping anyone struggling through stressful times.
