Florida Man Places Craigslist Ad for Sex With Dogs
April 15, 2016
George Wilkinson Jr. faces criminal charges for soliciting sex with an animal on Craigslist's Casual Encounters. The twenty-one year old Tallahassee man is alleged to have advertised on Craigslist seeking owners willing to let their dog perform sex acts on Wilkinson. When confronted by police, Wilkinson acknowledged placing the ad but claimed he did so as a joke, curious whether anyone would respond.
Section 828.126(2)(d), Florida Statutes, makes it a first degree misdemeanor to "knowingly . . . advertise . . . an act involving any sexual conduct or sexual contact with an animal for a commercial or recreational purpose." Wilkinson faces up to one year in jail and a $1000 fine. Wilkinson is currently on bond and is prohibited from owning, possessing, or having any contact with animals.
